G& B Dress April
Here is Brookes Green & Brown Dress. I think it is neat because the fabric is sort of an old fashion print and color scheme and the neck line is simple. All in all this dress reminds me of June Clever very tidy and proper yet just a tinge of sas in there. I like it. :-) Thanks Brooke!

February Outfits
Okay, this week I plan to take photos of each of the outfits I have borrowed and worn and post them before we exchange clothes friday.
Thank you to Brooke for the super cute dress that I put with some tall boots and leggings and some fun jewelry, that was a great outfit!
The green sweater you have all seen in our photo from the Souper Bowl dinner it is a perfect piece to wear with jeans for the slightly dressed up denim look it is also something I would consider a basic if you wear a lot of green because you could easily wear it with skirts as well and how dressy it looks could totally depend on the way you accessorize it.
The black and white sweater with the large collar and belled sleeves is fun and takes what would be a normal sweater and gives it just enough style to turn it into something soft and full and yummy to wear.
The purple sweater was the hardest for me to wear because it is more of a vest to go over an outfit and accessorize or add color to an already good outfit. I felt that it was not something I would have purchased for myself but had fun playing with and wearing for sure. Hey I now have a new way to wear that look if I ever get one of those sorts of sweaters.
I am totally excited about our next exchange because it is one week before Spring Break and I am looking forward to going out and doing some fun things in the new things. Keep your eyes open for that!
I will try to post an outfit a week!
Thanks Brooke!

Sighting 1
Tonight our families (Summer and mine) headed to a local high school for their annual Soup-er Bowl. It is a fund raiser for their art and culinary clubs. The art club makes the bowls and the culinary students make the soups. It is a great fund raiser because you come away with an eclectic collection of hand made bowls and a full tummy!
Summer and I both showed up wearing one of our castled pieces... her in the green sweater and me in the Ed Hardy T.

After the Soup-er Bowl we headed back to Summer's for her SURPRISE birthday party! It was fun to tell her friends that were gathered about the start of this little clothing adventure. Both our husbands commented during the evening that it was a great idea, we get new clothes and it doesn't cost them a thing!
The Ed Hardy T story by Brooke:
Today I wore the Ed Hardy T from Summer. The most notable part of the day was when my (not so fashion forward) colleague asked what was up with my shirt and wondered what piece of pop culture she had missed out on, and one of my students (a 6th grade boy no less) piped up and said "it's and Ed Hardy... my mom wears them all the time..." That was pretty entertaining, my colleague still doesn't get the Ed Hardy thing, but I also don't think it is all that important to her. I

Swap 1
On Wednesday, January 27 (also Summer's birthday)we had our first swap of clothing. This is Summer opening her birthday present from me, a really great zip up hoodie... yet another great reason for this whole thing, I can buy my friend some really great clothes and eventually I will get to try it out too! That's not why she got a present, just a perk.

To begin this new adventure we decided to start out pretty simple with just a few tops. Of course Summer threw in some great pants that I am looking forward to wearing!
A rule we established was we would just giving each other the clothes but not tell each other how we wear them or put them together as a whole ensemble. The main reason for this is to see our clothes in a different light and hopefully get some new ideas for our old clothes.

From me to Summer: Pollux dress, purple sweater, green sweater, and a black and cream cowl neck sweater.
From Summer to me: Ed Hardy t-shirt, green top, black top, poncho, black cream and green pattern sweater, and a pair of embroidered jean capri.
So here's to some great new clothes, and a lot of fun!
What do you think Summer???

DOUBLING Our Closets

(pic from runningwithheals.com)
I am so thankful to Summer who took our idea, ran with it, and started this blog for us to share all the fun with each other (and anyone else who might stumble across it).
It all started when we were considering our over-crowded closets, and how little we had to wear...ironic we know! So...why not choose a few items once a month to swap with each other. Then we would have new and exciting clothes to wear each month, fun stories to share, and a guarantee of a girls night at least once a month! Of course the best part is we double our closets!
So here's to great clothes, fun shopping, girly nights, and lots of adventure!
